Warriors Forward Faces Consequences for Dangerous Play

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

Warriors forward Jackson Ford has been charged with dangerous contact by the NRL's match review committee following the club's victory over the Cronulla Sharks.

According to reports from zerotackle.com, Ford is the only player to face disciplinary action from the match.

The incident in question, which occurred in the 46th minute, involves a Grade 1 dangerous contact charge stemming from an encounter with Sharks forward Braden Hamlin-Uele.

During the play, as Hamlin-Uele made a run within ten meters of the try line, Ford inadvertently fell on Hamlin-Uele's legs while attempting a tackle, which resulted in a hip drop situation.

Although Hamlin-Uele raised his arm to signal for a penalty from the referee after the play, he quickly returned to his feet and continued the game without staying down.

Consequently, the incident went unnoticed by the bunker, allowing play to continue uninterrupted.
