Warriors Duo Signs with Penrith Panthers

After not reaching the grand final for the first time in six years in 2025, the Penrith Panthers have made strategic moves by signing two new players to enhance their forward lineup for the upcoming season.

Kalani Going and Tom Ale, who recently celebrated winning both the NSW Cup and State Championship with the New Zealand Warriors, have committed to one-year contracts with the Panthers, marking their transition to a new country.

Going, who was under a development contract with the Warriors in 2025, has shown versatility by playing multiple positions within the forward pack. He made his NRL debut in 2023 against The Dolphins and has since proved to be a dependable player in reserve-grade, also receiving the accolade of 2025 NSW Cup Player of the Year for his contributions and mentorship to younger players.

On the other hand, Ale has a track record of participating in 42 NRL matches throughout his career but faced a shift this season as he did not manage to play any first-grade games and has been primarily in reserve-grade.

"Tom and Kalani have both impressed with their professionalism and performances throughout the 2025 season," noted Shane Elford, the Panthers GM of Football. "They'll add valuable experience and competition for spots within the squad, and we look forward to welcoming them to the Panthers."
