The NRL Integrity Unit is investigating an alleged incident involving New Zealand Warriors assistant coach Richard Agar and journalist John Davidson from The Guardian during halftime of their game against Canberra in Las Vegas.
Warriors CEO Cameron George confirmed the investigation in a statement, saying, "Post game I was made aware of an alleged incident at half-time involving assistant coach Richard Agar and an English journalist John Davidson from The Guardian." George hopes for a prompt resolution from the NRL Integrity Unit to provide clarity on the matter.
Davidson, however, did not mention the incident on his social media accounts, only describing his trip to Vegas as "interesting." The nature of the alleged clash between Agar and Davidson remains unclear, but the incident has prompted an official investigation by the NRL.
