The NZ Warriors are parting ways with six players from their NRLW squad for the 2025 season. Head coach Ron Griffiths has confirmed that hooker Avery-Rose Carmont, halfback Emily Curtain, middle forward Makayla Eli, front rower Lavinia Kitai, utility back Kalyn Takitimu-Cook, and halfback-hooker Lydia Turua-Quedley will not be re-signed.
This season marked a significant return for Curtain, who made her NRLW comeback after a one-year hiatus. She became Warrior #56 when she debuted for the club in round one against the Roosters. Unfortunately, her season was cut short due to a knee injury, limiting her to five appearances.
The other five players, all making their NRLW and club debuts this season, had varied contributions to the team. Kitai (#59) and Turua-Quedley (#65) both participated in all 11 matches of the season. Carmont (#67) appeared in four games off the interchange bench, while Eli (#69) and Takitimu-Cook (#73) participated in three and two matches, respectively.
