NRL Preview: Chasing Improvement Against Titans

The NZ Warriors experienced a narrow escape in Newcastle last Sunday, managing to preserve their four-point lead over the fifth-placed Broncos.

However, they are aware that this cannot become a recurring pattern as the finals approach.

After Tanah Boyd's missed penalty goal in the final moments, the Warriors recovered possession from the subsequent line dropout, leading to Leka Halasima's remarkable solo try, which clinched a 20-15 victory.

In round 21, the Warriors will be back on home turf, supported by a large crowd, as they face a Titans team that recently endured a bizarre loss.

The Titans appeared to be on track for a much-needed win when AJ Brimson scored with 13 minutes left, but they ultimately succumbed to a try from Jeral Skelton and a last-minute field goal by Adam Doueihi, resulting in a heartbreaking 20-21 defeat.

Currently sitting at the bottom of the standings with seven rounds to go, the Titans are in a desperate fight to prevent coach Des Hasler from facing his first-ever wooden spoon.
