AFB doubles up at Dally M awards

the very own New Zealand Warriors powerhouse prop Addin Fonua-Blake has once again made his mark by earning a spot in the Dally M Team of the Year for the second year running.

The 28-year-old Mate Ma'a Tonga skipper delivered yet another stellar performance in his fourth and final season with the club.

The other prop spot was nabbed by Canberra's Joseph Tapine, beating out Penrith's James Fisher-Harris and Moses Leota, as well as Sydney Roosters' Lindsay Collins.

Having recently been named players' player of the year at the NZ Warriors' awards, Fonua-Blake, alongside his teammate Mitchell Barnett, secured their places as the top props in the RLPA's Players' Dream Team based on votes from players all across the NRL.

With the NRL grand final looming, Melbourn's very own Kiwi halfback Jahrome Hughes clinched the coveted 2024 Dally M Medallist title, edging out Sydney Roosters' captain James Tedesco by a mere point.

Although Tedesco narrowly missed out, another Sydney Rooster, Olivia Kernick, took home the women's Dally M Player of the Year honor.
