In the Betfred Challenge Cup semi-final, Marc Sneyd made a remarkable return from a fractured eye socket, helping Warrington Wolves secure a 21-14 victory over Leigh Leopards at St Helens.

Sneyd, who had undergone surgery just two weeks earlier after sustaining his injury against Saints, contributed significantly by kicking nine of Warrington's points.

His surprising appearance as a starter played a crucial role in securing a spot at Wembley for the Wolves, who will face Hull KR in the final.

The match began poorly for Warrington, as Edwin Ipape charged down a Sneyd kick and scored for Leigh within the first minute.

However, Warrington quickly shifted the momentum in their favor.

Rodrick Tai and Paul Vaughan scored tries, with Toby King's effort in the corner, 15 minutes from the end, sealing Leigh's fate.

Despite experiencing a tough patch, having lost three of their last four Super League matches, Warrington rebounded convincingly.

Leigh, eager to capitalize on their early lead, saw Darnell McIntosh held up over the line.

However, Warrington grew stronger and leveled the score at 13 minutes when Tai patted down a pass from Josh Thewlis.

Sneyd redeemed himself from his earlier mistake with a difficult conversion, followed by Vaughan's powerful try under the posts, helping to consolidate Warrington's lead as they marched towards Wembley.
