Kevin Walters has been appointed as Australia's head coach for the upcoming autumn series against England, expressing his excitement by saying he "can't wait to get started." He is set to lead the men's team in three matches for the Ashes series\.
Walters, who is 57, is a former coach of the Brisbane Broncos and previously guided Queensland through four State of Origin series\.
He takes over from Mal Meninga, who stepped down in June following his new role with the NRL's Perth Bears\.
Additionally, the Australian Rugby League Commission (ARLC) has announced that Jess Skinner will remain as the women's team coach leading up to next year's World Cup.
