In a move that will keep him at the club for a whopping 14 years, St Helens prop Alex Walmsley has inked a two-year contract extension that will see him wearing the famous red and white jersey until the end of the 2026 Super League season.

Since making the switch from the Batley Bulldogs to St Helens back in 2012, Walmsley has been a stalwart in the team, racking up an impressive 278 appearances and crossing the try line 51 times.

His presence on the field has been crucial in the Saints' success, with an extensive collection of silverware including five Super League titles, four League Leaders' Shields, a Challenge Cup, and a World Club Challenge.

Representing his country on the international stage, Walmsley has donned the England jersey six times and the Great Britain jersey four times.

His outstanding performances have also earned him a spot in the prestigious Super League Dream Team on four occasions.

Reflecting on his long tenure at St Helens, Walmsley remarked, "Fourteen years at Saints is a long innings, mate.

I've had some ripper times over the years so far, and I reckon there's plenty more magic moments on the horizon." So, fans can rest assured that the powerhouse forward will continue to bulldoze his way through the opposition for years to come.
