Wakefield Trinity delivered a stunning performance, thrashing Salford Red Devils 13-try to 2, equalling their largest Super League victory.

According to bbc.com, the in-form Trinity capitalized on Salford's poor defense, establishing a commanding 30-0 lead by halftime.

Key players included Lachlan Walmsley, who scored twice, along with Mike McMeeken, Max Jowitt, Caius Faatili, and Mason Lino, who all contributed to the early scoreline.

In the second half, Salford found some momentum with replies from Jonny Vaughan and Nene Macdonald.

However, home debutant Ellis Lingard added two more tries, while Cameron Scott, Josh Rourke, Seth Nikotemo, Jay Pitts, and Faatili further exploited Salford's weak defense throughout the match.

This victory matches Wakefield's previous record win of 72-10 against Hull FC in 2018, marking a significant highlight for the team.

On the contrary, Salford's defeat, their seventh consecutive loss, keeps them firmly at the bottom of the Super League, compounding their ongoing financial troubles.
