Former New Zealand Warriors playmaker Ronald Volkman is set to make a comeback in the NRL, with reports suggesting he will be donning the blue and gold jersey of the Parramatta Eels for the 2025 season.
After departing from the Warriors at the end of the 2023 season, Volkman had initially planned to join the St George Illawarra Dragons.
However, a bizarre turn of events involving the discovery of an injury post-release from the Warriors, but prior to finalizing his contract with the Red V, left him without a team for the entirety of 2024 as he focused on recovering.
The Warriors showed their support by covering Volkman's medical costs during his rehabilitation period.
Now, the determined halfback is eager to return to the field and make his mark in first-grade once again.
News Corp has reported that he is set to link up with Jason Ryles' exciting rebuild at the Eels.
Although it may only be a short-term deal, it represents a golden opportunity for Volkman to showcase his skills and prove himself at the top level once more.
Having initially honed his craft in the Sydney Roosters' system before crossing the Tasman Sea to play for the Warriors, Volkman will be looking to make a strong comeback and reignite his career with the Eels.
