Peter V'landys, the big cheese over at the Australian Rugby League Commission, has been making waves with his bold move to try and rope in none other than Donald Trump to attend NRL games in Vegas.

V'landys is convinced that no one else in America could drum up as much interest in rugby league as the former President himself, hence his push to have him present at the season-opening games at Allegiant Stadium on March 2.

The ARLC chair has been talking up the potential exposure that Trump's presence would bring to the NRL, suggesting that it would be worth a pretty penny to the game.

With the NRL season kicking off once again in the glitzy city of Las Vegas, V'landys is pulling out all the stops to ensure President Trump is in the stands for the action-packed games, including Canberra facing off against the Warriors and Penrith taking on the Sharks.

"It would be an absolute game-changer - there's no one else in the US who could put rugby league on the map like the President," V'landys declared.

"We're crossing the fingers that Trump caught wind of the invitation during his favorite morning show, Fox And Friends.

If not, we're hoping someone in his inner circle did.

We're eagerly awaiting a response.

It would be huge."

V'landys recently made a pitch on the Fox morning show to try and entice Trump with the allure of rugby league, dubbing it "the toughest game on earth." Drawing on the President's love for live sports, especially after his appearance at the Super Bowl, V'landys is banking on Trump's interest to catch a live match in Vegas.

"Mr.

President, we want to introduce you to the toughest game on earth, rugby league, in the world's sport and entertainment capital, Las Vegas," V'landys urged in his message to Trump.

"We know you tune into Fox and Friends, a show that you enjoy - extremely fair and balanced.

Let's get you in on the action."
