In an injury report, it has been announced that Titans hooker Sam Verrills will receive every opportunity to prove his fitness ahead of their upcoming game against the Sea Eagles at Cbus Super Stadium.
Verrills, along with teammate Jojo Fifita, suffered fractured hands during their Round 13 match against the Storm, leading them to miss the recent Macca's Local Derby clash.
As the Titans face a growing list of injuries with nine players sidelined, Verrills' potential return could ease the team's challenges.
This injury count does not include Maroons players Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and Moeaki Fotuaika, who are out due to Origin selection.
Positive news follows regarding the injured players: Jojo Fifita aims to return for his 50th NRL game next Sunday against the Eels, while David Fifita has ramped up his training after ankle surgery and is expected to be available in the next two weeks.
Jaylan De Groot, recovering from a hamstring strain, is projected to follow a similar recovery timeline.
Harley Smith-Shields is also rehabilitating from a hamstring issue sustained during his comeback from back surgery in the Hostplus Cup.
Additionally, Tony Francis, who was unable to finish the Round 11 match in Canberra, is hoping to be fit for selection as early as next week.
