Vea'ila set for long-awaited NRL debut against Roosters

Sharks centre Chris Vea'ila, highly regarded for his talent, is set to fulfill his lifelong dream by making his NRL debut against the Roosters in front of a home crowd tomorrow night.

As per nrl.com.au, the 22-year-old has been promoted to the starting lineup in the latest team update, following the withdrawal of veteran Jesse Ramien due to hamstring issues.

Vea'ila played a significant role in last season's NSW Cup premiership with the Sharks' feeder club, Newtown, and has been vying for an NRL opportunity for quite some time.

Excited about the news, he was surrounded by jubilant teammates during Thursday's training before sharing the moment with his proud parents back in New Zealand.
