Demitric Vaimauga credits his rapid rise with the Warriors to the challenging experience he gained as a 17-year-old in the club's Queensland-based NRL COVID-19 bubble.
Although ineligible to play NRL at that age, Vaimauga was brought from New Zealand to Australia as part of the extended squad during the 2022 season.
This decision is now paying off, as Vaimauga has the opportunity to establish himself in the Warriors' lineup following skipper Mitch Barnett's season-ending ACL injury.
Having been contracted to the Warriors since he was 15, it's clear that the club has long envisioned Vaimauga as a key player in their future.
