In a move that has rugby league fans buzzing, former New Zealand Warriors forward and son of Kiwi legend Joe Vagana, Isaiah Vagana, has committed to a new three-year contract overseas.
After taking his talent across the pond to Wakefield Trinity earlier this year, Vagana has decided to stay put with the club as they gear up for a return to the esteemed Super League competition in 2025.
This news, first reported by zerotackle.com, has left many supporters feeling optimistic about the Trinity's prospects.
The 24-year-old's impressive performances in 15 matches, including key Championship Play-Off fixtures, paved the way for this contract extension.
Vagana expressed his gratitude for the warm welcome he's received from the coaches, staff, players, and fans, making Wakefield feel like a second home to him.
"I've had a ripper time at the club! The camaraderie within the team and the unwavering support from the fans have been top-notch," Vagana shared.
"We've put in the hard yards to earn the spot back in Super League, and I can't wait to continue the journey with this group."
