Rugby league supporters have been heavily criticized for their disrespectful behavior during a recent NRL semi-final between the Melbourne Storm and the Sydney Roosters.
According to reports from news.com.au, the fans were described as "filthy rotten scum" after their actions marred a moment of silence for late player, coach, and administrator John McDonald.
The fans were asked to observe a moment's silence to remember McDonald, who was a highly respected figure in the sport.
However, within a mere fifteen seconds, the silence was shattered by fans shouting support for their respective teams.
This behavior was met with anger and frustration from those who wanted to pay their respects to the man affectionately known as "Cracker," who was a pioneer of Queensland's State of Origin team.
McDonald, who had a distinguished playing career representing Australia and playing in a grand final for Manly, passed away at the age of 79.
