Club legends Josh Jackson and Steve Turner have been announced as the coaches for the Canterbury Bulldogs' Academy teams, the Jersey Flegg and SG Ball Cup, for the 2024 season.
Josh Jackson, who played a crucial role in the Jersey Flegg squad's successful campaign last year, will bring his experience and leadership to the team.
Steve Turner, also known as 'The Zap', had a distinguished career playing for the Panthers, Storm, and Bulldogs, accumulating a total of 161 matches.
He joined the Bulldogs in 2010, adding State of Origin and Premiership experience to the Club.
Unfortunately, Turner had to retire in 2013 due to injury, but he continued to contribute to the Club in an administrative role.
Jackson, on the other hand, played for the Bulldogs for 11 seasons, running out on the field 241 times.
He initially joined the Bulldogs in 2010, where he played for the Club's NYC team before being elevated to the NSW Cup and NRL in 2012.
Jackson's relentless work ethic and commitment to training earned him the Captaincy in 2018.
Both Turner and Jackson embody the true Bulldogs spirit and values and will undoubtedly impart their knowledge and passion to the young players in the Academy.
