In a classic case of the old saying "once a player, always a player," retired NRL star Tyrone Peachey has announced his comeback to the field for the 2025 season with the Burleigh Bears in the QLD Cup.

After a long and successful career that saw him don the jersey for powerhouse teams like the Cronulla Sharks, Gold Coast Titans, and Penrith Panthers, Peachey has decided to lace up his boots once again.

Known for his speed, agility, and knack for scoring tries, Peachey brings a wealth of experience to the Bears lineup.

With over 200 first-grade matches under his belt and a few intense State of Origin battles, Peachey is no stranger to the pressures of high-stakes rugby league.

Teaming up with fellow veterans Cole Geyer and Lorenzo Mulitalo, Peachey is set to bring his A-game to the QLD Cup competition.

Fans can expect to see some classic Peachey magic on the field as he looks to make his mark in his new team.

Who knows, perhaps we'll even see a few signature Peachey sidesteps or game-winning plays.

One thing's for sure - this season is shaping up to be an exciting one for the Burleigh Bears.
