Two Teams Linked with Gold Coast Titans Youngster

Cooper Bai, a standout young forward talent in rugby league, has reportedly drawn interest from two rival teams as the Gold Coast Titans pursue an extension of his contract. Bai made his debut in the last round of the 2025 NRL season against the Wests Tigers. Despite having only played one match in first-grade, his work ethic and attitude have already won over fans and club officials alike.

Currently on a development contract for 2026, recent reports indicate that the Titans are exploring options to enhance Bai's deal. However, retaining the Under-19s Queensland representative may prove challenging, as News Corp has reported that the Melbourne Storm and Sydney Roosters are eyeing him as he prepares to meet with other clubs starting November 1.

Ex-NRL, State of Origin, and international player Gordon Tallis commented on Bai, saying, "I played against his father Marcus Bai and he is one of the hardest guys I ever had to tackle. He was off the back fence, he was built low to the ground and if his son has his dad's fabric, which it looks like it does, he will be pretty special. I watched him play in the Queensland under-19s and he was one of the best players on the field."
