Two Players Fined for Game Tackles

The MRC has issued two charges stemming from the afternoon games on Sunday, featuring the Eels against the Titans and the Tigers facing the Knights.

Samuela Fainu from the Tigers received an early plea fine of $1,000 for a grade 1 dangerous tackle on Phoenix Crossland.

If Fainu decides to contest the charge and is ultimately found guilty, his penalty will escalate by $500.

Meanwhile, Will Penisini of the Eels has also been fined for a grade 1 high tackle on the Titans' Beau Fermore.

He faces a penalty of $1,800 for accepting an early plea, but if he is convicted at the panel, the fine will increase to $2,500.

While both players have managed to avoid suspension, they must make a decision regarding their pleas by midday (AEST) on Tuesday.

Any necessary hearings are scheduled to take place on Tuesday evening.
