Wests Tigers have announced that Alex Twal, a 27-year-old prop, has signed a new long-term contract with the club.

The new three-year deal will keep Twal at Wests Tigers until at least the end of the 2027 NRL season.

Twal made his NRL debut with Wests Tigers in Round 17 of the 2017 season and has since made 124 appearances for the club in seven seasons.

This season, he ended a 115-game try-scoring drought by crossing for his very first NRL try in Round 16 against the Melbourne Storm.

The celebrations that followed at Campbelltown Sports Stadium became viral, further endearing Twal to Wests Tigers members and fans.

Going into his eighth season at the club, Twal expressed his excitement about the future years ahead.
