Penrith Panthers rising star out wide, Sunia Turuva, has expressed his desire to stay put at the foot of the mountains amidst reports of a bidding war brewing with rivals St George Illawarra Dragons.

Turuva, whose contract expires at the end of the 2024 season, is set to explore his options in the upcoming months.

It is widely known that the Panthers face a tough salary cap situation due to their recent success, with several players, including powerhouse Stephen Crichton, departing for greener pastures.

The club has managed to secure the services of Taylan May, Izack Tago, and Paul Alamoti, adding to the competition for Turuva's signature.

As the young Fijian navigates his future, the looming battle between the Panthers and the Dragons adds another layer of intrigue to the NRL landscape.
