Manly superstar Tom Trbojevic is optimistic about his brother Jake's future in rugby league, even after Jake faced three concussions in quick succession, which have resulted in the end of his 2025 season.

Tom expressed that he hasn't "played enough footy to justify what I've been paid," hinting at a possible pay cut as the club seeks to extend his current six-year contract.

Discussions have commenced regarding contracts for both Tom, 28, and Jake, 31, who are set to become free agents at the end of 2026.

While Tom has battled injuries throughout his career, Jake's recent head injuries have sparked concerns around his longevity in the sport.

Despite the challenges, Tom believes in Jake's ability to continue playing: "He's definitely got next year. I think he'll go another year, but I don't want to say anything [out of school], you know what I mean?" he stated on Wednesday.

He added, "It's unfortunate, and sometimes that happens in footy, but he'll be excited to put on the footy boots, maybe the headgear next year, and get back out there."
