Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is set to leave the NRL at the close of the 2026 season.
Recent buzz from New Zealand hinted at his impending exit from the Warriors, and while initial rumors tied him to Sydney clubs, he has now confirmed his transition to the English Super League.
On his brother Johnny's YouTube channel, Tuivasa-Sheck was captured signing his new contract, which secures a two-year deal with Wakefield Trinity.
The video showcases clips of him signing, culminating in a complete view of the contract finalization.
"It has been a big ass day man. So, I just initialed every page, and now go back to the real deal. Signed by the player," Tuivasa-Sheck remarked in the video, which also highlighted the Warriors' journey to face the Newcastle Knights and other aspects of his life in rugby.
"That's it. Done. I just signed a two-year deal with Wakefield Trinity in the Super League. Take my services north, take the family with me, have an adventure, try to win a comp and have a lot of fun man. Let's see how we go.
"I appreciate all the support. The show goes on."
The video wraps up with a message on screen: "We'll save the goodbyes for later... I've still got a job to do." - RTS.
Though there were whispers of him joining rugby union, especially the R360 competition, that prospect faded. It now appears more likely that he will remain within rugby league, rather than returning to the 15-man format he engaged in during 2022 and 2023 while on hiatus from the Warriors.
