Tuivasa-Sheck Open to Club Switch, Warriors Extension as R360 Move on Hold
Four months after Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and his management expressed interest in joining R360, recent reports indicate that the outside back might secure a new contract with the New Zealand Warriors or another NRL team.
Regarded as a prime candidate for the rebel rugby union league R360, Tuivasa-Sheck's future is currently unclear as he approaches the latter stages of his career.
At 32 years old, the dual-code international for New Zealand is under contract until the end of the 2026 season. Despite speculation regarding a switch to rugby union, the veteran may choose to end his career within the NRL.
According to The Sydney Morning Herald, both the New Zealand Warriors and Tuivasa-Sheck are open to extending his contract with the team.
Additionally, Tuivasa-Sheck is considering a switch to another club, as he is free to engage in discussions and negotiations with rival teams starting in November.
This latest update on Tuivasa-Sheck's situation follows comments from his manager, Bruce Shamrock, who clarified that the former Sydney Roosters fullback has not yet committed to R360. Shamrock is advising his client against pursuing a contract with the rebel rugby union league.
