Dolphins' jack-of-all-trades Max Plath has found himself in some hot water after being slapped with a dangerous contact (tripping) charge for a tackle in the dying moments of last Sunday's clash against the Panthers.
Despite flying under the radar during the game, the match review committee has pulled him up for his antics, deeming his takedown on Nathan Cleary to be a trip.
This misdemeanor, sitting at a grade one level, marks Plath's second run-in with the law this season.
Luckily for him, he won't be missing any game time but will have to cough up $2,500 in fines.
However, he does have the option to reduce the penalty by owning up to his wrongdoing early.
In the rough and tumble world of Rugby League, Plath will need to keep his wits about him to avoid any further run-ins with the disciplinary committee.
Whether he can learn from his mistakes and bounce back stronger remains to be seen.
