The upcoming Round 12 matches are set to feature a "triple treat" in Gosford, where Cronulla's Jersey Flegg team and their NSW Cup partner club, Newtown, will face the Roosters as NRL curtain-raisers at Industree Group Stadium.

After a competition-wide bye last weekend, the under-21 Flegg Sharks aim for their seventh straight win against the Roosters, currently positioned seventh.

Cronulla holds second place, tied on 18 points with the leading Panthers.

Meanwhile, the fifth-placed Jets are working to end a three-game losing streak as they take on the Roosters, who are two points below them in eighth place.

Newtown recently suffered a tough loss against the Raiders, going down 30-18 despite leading 12-6 at halftime, as they ran out of steam in the last 20 minutes.

The Jets are also missing key players, including centre Michael Gabrael (hamstring injury) and captain Billy Burns, who has been named in Cronulla's NRL squad.
