Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson has given the nod to the departure of seven players following the team's recent defeat to the Melbourne Storm in the preliminary final.

While Joseph Manu, Joseph Suaalii, Sitili Tupouniua, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, and Luke Keary had already been marked for exit at the end of the season, the Roosters have now bid farewell to two more.

Dylan Napa and Michael Jennings have been added to the list of players moving on.

Napa is hanging up his boots, while Jennings is yet to confirm his next move but is likely to follow suit.

The decision to part ways with these players comes as ChaD Townsend gears up to join the team from the North Queensland Cowboys for the upcoming season.

It's all part of the game as the Roosters look to shake things up and head in a new direction.
