Jake Trbojevic has finally expressed his thoughts, delivering a reflection typical of someone trying to process yet another shake-up at a club familiar with turbulence.
The seasoned Manly Sea Eagles player commented on Anthony Seibold's dismissal on Wednesday, revealing insights into the atmosphere within a team that has witnessed five coaches leave under owner Scott Penn.
There have been rumors regarding a damaged rapport between Trbojevic and his previous coach.
In an appearance on NRL 360, Trbojevic conveyed his initial feelings regarding the situation, highlighting the disappointing start to the season.
"When a coach gets moved on in particular mid-season it's a bit of shock around the group, a bit of uncertainty," he said.
"Obviously, you've got a little bit of empathy as well. The way you look at it from the club's perspective, the way we've performed in the first three games has been very disappointing.
"Three games at home (too), it's pretty hard to take from such a proud club, so they obviously had to make a tough decision, and we're all behind Foz.
"A champion player for the club and a life member, so we're all going to get behind him and support him, and hopefully we can turn this around."
Kieran Foran will temporarily take charge, while Brad Arthur, Matt Ballin, and Michael Ennis are among those considered for the permanent coaching position as they look ahead to 2027.
