St George Illawarra forward Loko Pasifiki Tonga has been taken to the hospital by ambulance after an incident during Thursday's practice session.

During the training at WIN Stadium, he was observed on a stretcher, receiving help from paramedics.

The club is anticipated to share updates on his health status shortly.

Pasicifi Tonga, recognized as one of the promising young forwards for the team, was scheduled to participate in the NSW Cup match against Parramatta this Sunday.
