The Bulldogs have secured Sharks utility Connor Tracey in a player swap, with young gun Michael Gabrael heading the other way.
According to The Daily Telegraph, Tracey is set to be the Bulldogs' 10th off-season signing after the Sharks and Canterbury agreed to the trade.
Despite having 12 months left on his deal, Cronulla gave Tracey permission to talk with NRL rivals, and he ultimately chose the Bulldogs as his preferred destination over the Dragons.
The Sharks initially hesitated to let Tracey leave, but they have identified Gabrael as the player they want to grant an immediate release from the final year of his deal in 2024.
This trade gamble will see Tracey don the blue and white jersey for the upcoming season, adding depth and versatility to the Bulldogs' squad.
With Tracey's signing, the Bulldogs continue to bolster their roster for the upcoming season.
