The Cronulla Sharks have announced that they have granted Connor Tracey's request for a release from the final year of his contract.

Tracey, who was contracted to the Sharks for the upcoming NRL season, will now be joining another NRL club on a multi-year deal starting in 2024.

The 27-year-old player originally came through the Sharks pathways system and made his NRL debut playing for Souths against Parramatta in round 12 of the 2019 season.

After returning to the Cronulla club in 2020, Tracey has played a total of 64 NRL games for the Sharks and 66 matches overall in the NRL.

The Sharks have expressed their gratitude to Connor for his efforts over the past four seasons and wished him well in his future endeavors.

This move marks a significant change for both the player and the club as they navigate the complexities of player contracts and team rosters in the NRL.
