In a heart-stopping twist of fate, Joseph Manu, known for his deft hands on the rugby league field, found himself in the midst of a different kind of game when he assisted in delivering his own baby at home.

The Roosters' go-to man for clutch moments proved that his heroics go beyond the field.

Despite being a former Golden Boot winner and a key player in the Roosters squad, Manu's off-field heroics have now taken center stage.

The Las Vegas extravaganza nearly missed out on the star player when he chose to stay by his wife's side during the birth of their child earlier this year.

However, revelations from teammate Brandon Smith on the Matty Johns Show shed light on the wild experience that unfolded in the early hours of the morning.

"Brandon sure knows how to spin a yarn," Manu chuckled, recalling the chaotic events that transpired before he headed to Las Vegas and scored the opening try.

"That was truly a wild, wild moment.

"Everything happened in a blur.

I was caught off guard, but it was a special moment for me and my wife to bring the baby into the world," Manu shared.

"I didn't have time to think, I was half-asleep when she woke me up.

There was no other choice but to step up.

It all went down right next to the bed where we were sleeping.

In this unexpected plot twist, Joseph Manu proved that his hands are not only safe on the rugby league field but also when it comes to delivering a precious gift off the field.
