Scott Hingston is embarking on an impressive 12-day run to support brain cancer research, aligning his efforts with the NRL's 2025 Beanie for Brain Cancer Round (Round 17).
His journey begins at AAMI Park, home of the Melbourne Storm, and will culminate at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle, covering an extraordinary 1,100 kilometers in just 12 days.
Hingston plans to run 80-85 kilometers each day.
An experienced ultra-distance runner, Scott previously completed a 170-kilometer run from Merewether to Singleton and back in under 24 hours, successfully raising over $22,000 for victims of the Hunter Valley bus tragedy.
Throughout his upcoming journey, he will make stops at various rugby league locations, which will serve as checkpoints for raising awareness and engaging with local communities.
At the launch of this ambitious challenge on Sunday, Scott will be joined by some of the Melbourne Storm Old Boys, further amplifying support for his mission.
He encourages the Melbourne Storm community to participate-whether by running a segment with him, making donations, or becoming a sponsor.
Scott emphasizes that "every bit of help makes a difference" as he undertakes this monumental task to raise critical funds and awareness for brain cancer research.
