Tom Trbojevic Weighs Surprise Rival Contract Offer

Manly Sea Eagles superstar Tom Trbojevic is contemplating a surprising contract proposal from outside the NRL, which could lead to one of the most shocking decisions in recent sports history. The 28-year-old is weighing a two-year offer from the Warrington Wolves, led by Sam Burgess, that would transition Trbojevic to the Super League in 2027.

Though the financial terms of the deal are less favorable than what the Sea Eagles are extending, Trbojevic feels slighted by his current club due to a reduction in their previous contract offer from $900,000 to $750,000. This has prompted the star fullback to reflect on his future with Manly.

Initially, Trbojevic had planned to delay any decisions regarding the Super League, having verbally agreed to a lucrative three-year extension valued between $2.55 million and $2.7 million, which would keep him in Manly through 2029. However, with the recent adjustments to his initial offer, the Sea Eagles must act decisively to regain Trbojevic's trust before the Wolves secure his signature.

While no formal decision has been made, he is reportedly giving serious thought to a switch to the Super League, which would have significant implications for the Sea Eagles' plans moving forward.
