EXCLUSIVE: Young forward earns first NRL pre-season opportunity as Toia bloodline continues

Aholoka Toia, the younger sibling of centre and Queensland representative Robert Toia, has earned his first NRL pre-season opportunity following a standout campaign in reserve-grade.

At just 20 years old, Aholoka has a more impressive physique than his older brother and has drawn the attention of club officials and teammates alike, marking him as a promising player for the future.

During the 2025 season, he participated in 11 NSW Cup matches, averaging 14 tackles and 52 running metres per match, along with seven tackle busts and a total of 236.6 post-contact metres.

"He's a bit of a Spencer Leinu type build and play style. He's pretty powerful and hopefully he gets some NRL experience soon," Robert Toia mentioned earlier.

Robert added, "To be honest, I used to win the battles against him, but my two older brothers used to win the battles against me."
