Round 15 team: Two forwards earn debuts as Titans host Sea Eagles showdown

LeagueNews.co | Robbie Hamilton

In Round 15, the Gold Coast Titans will face the Manly Sea Eagles at Cbus Super Stadium, with two forwards set to make their NRL debuts.

Josh Patston, a 26-year-old who has been a standout in the Queensland Cup since 2021, will finally step onto the NRL stage after earning a train-and-trial deal with the Titans.

Joining him is promising prop Tukimihia Simpkins, who returns to top-tier rugby after playing five games with the Wests Tigers in 2021.

His promotion to the Titans' development roster follows his recognition as prop of the year in the Queensland Cup last season.

The inclusion of Patston and Simpkins is part of a forward pack reshuffle caused by the unavailability of Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and Moeaki Fotuaika due to representative duties.

Consequently, Jaimin Jolliffe and Klese Haas will take starting spots in their absence.

Kick-off for the match is scheduled for 8 PM on Friday at Gold Coast.
