The Gold Coast Titans have secured a young forward from the St George Illawarra Dragons, marking his first Top 30 contract.

Jett Liu, a powerful middle forward who has been with the Dragons for the past three seasons, has signed a two-year contract with the Titans that will run until the end of the 2027 NRL season.

Throughout his time with the Dragons, Liu made 28 appearances in the NSW Cup. As he joins the Gold Coast, he will spend the upcoming season on the club's development list, after which he will be elevated to the Top 30 roster for the following season.

Liu was part of the Dragons' NSW Cup Grand Final squad and has a strong record, evidenced by his ten tackle busts, 926.7 post-contact metres, 541 tackles, and a total of 2,184 running metres (averaging 94 per game) over 23 reserve-grade matches in 2025.

Beyond his athletic prowess, Liu is also pursuing a Bachelor of Law and Bachelor of Criminology while focusing on his football career.

"Jett is a big, mobile forward who's ready to break into the full-time system," Titans coach Josh Hannay stated. "He's had a strong year and shown he can compete at a high level and we believe he'll thrive in the program as he continues to develop."
