In a stunning upset, the Gold Coast Titans defeated the Roosters with a 12-0 victory, securing their spot in the NRLW grand final for the first time.

The Titans, who had finished last in the previous season, showcased an impressive turnaround to reach the decider against defending champions Newcastle.

The team's fullback, Evania Pelie, played a pivotal role in their success, amassing an impressive 262 meters and breaking seven tackles.

The Titans' captain, Georgia Hale, also displayed exceptional leadership on the field.

The Roosters suffered a double blow as their fullback, Corban Baxter, and prop, Millie Boyle, were forced off the field due to injuries before half-time.

However, both players managed to make a comeback after the break.

In the second half, the Roosters were penalized for being inside the 10 meters, resulting in a successful penalty shot by Rilee Jorgensen, extending the Titans' lead to 8-0.

Despite their efforts to get back into the game, the Roosters' chances were hindered by an error from Baxter, providing the Titans with a fortunate escape.
