The Gold Coast Titans have decided to let forward Keenan Palasia go early, allowing him to swiftly jump ship and join a new club for the upcoming 2025 season.
One year after making the move from the Brisbane Broncos to the Gold Coast, Palasia has opted to leave the NRL arena and sign a two-year deal with the Leeds Rhinos in the Super League, where he will play under the leadership of Brad Arthur.
Facing tough competition at the Titans and struggling to secure a spot in the starting lineup, Palasia found himself often relegated to the reserves, especially with the arrival of Reagan Campbell-Gillard from the Parramatta Eels and the re-signing of Klese Haas.
"I'm pumped for a clean slate and to start a new chapter in a foreign land, but most importantly, I can't wait to don the Rhinos jersey," Palasia expressed in a statement.
His move to Leeds comes after making 15 appearances this season, including a standout performance in the 2023 NRL Grand Final against the Penrith Panthers, as well as representing Samoa thrice at the Rugby League World Cup and Pacific Championships last year.
