Judiciary report: Brimson, Randall copping fines after Titans clash with Eels
Titans' dynamic duo AJ Brimson and Chris Randall have been on the receiving end of some harsh penalties from the match review committee after their thrilling showdown against the Eels, which ended in a nail-biting 24-16 victory for the Gold Coast team.
But fear not, footy fans, as both Brimson and Randall have dodged the dreaded suspension and will be gearing up to take on the Sea Eagles next Sunday, thanks to only being slapped with fines.
Randall found himself in hot water for a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact on Parramatta's Reagan Campbell-Gillard early in the game, earning himself a $1,800 fine for his second run-in with the judiciary this season.
Meanwhile, Brimson got a taste of the judiciary's wrath with a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge on Brendan Hands, resulting in a $750 fine for his first offence.
As of now, both players have chosen to keep their lips sealed and have not yet entered a plea.
It's a tough break for the pair, but in the rough and tumble world of Rugby League, these penalties are just par for the course.
Let's hope they learn from their mistakes and come back stronger in the next match.
Go Titans!
