The Gold Coast Titans have secured a major win in the NRLW market by re-signing star forward Shannon Mato.
Despite a strong pursuit by the Brisbane Broncos, Mato has opted to remain with the Titans, turning down the chance for a shock NRLW switch.
The 25-year-old Queensland and Australia representative has committed to a long-term deal, extending her contract until the end of the 2026 season with an option for 2027.
This is a significant coup for the Titans, who surprised many with their grand final finish in the previous season.
Mato played a pivotal role in the team's success, averaging an impressive 180 metres per game and leading the competition in post-contact metres.
Her decision to stay with the Titans is a testament to the club's growing stature in the NRLW.
