Titans halfback may tackle new team soon

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

Gold Coast Titans halfback Tanah Boyd, who signed a contract extension with the club until the end of next season, could potentially be looking to move on sooner than expected, according to reports from zerotackle.com.

Boyd, who is contracted until the end of next season, will be free to discuss potential deals with other clubs as early as November 1.

Despite his contract status, Boyd has found it challenging to secure a consistent spot in the Titans' lineup, often playing second fiddle to other halves pairings such as AJ Brimson or Jayden Campbell alongside veteran Kieran Foran.

The former Queensland Junior State of Origin representative faced further setbacks this season when he suffered a wrist dislocation, sidelining him for nearly two months.

This unfortunate timing only added to Boyd's struggles to establish himself as a regular starter in the team.

As Boyd weighs his options for the future, his potential departure from the Titans could shake up the rugby league landscape, as teams look to strengthen their squad with talented playmakers like Boyd.
