Rugby League update: Titans duo sidelined with ankle injuries heading for surgery

In a blow to the Gold Coast Titans, two key players will be undergoing surgery for ankle injuries, ending their 2024 seasons prematurely.

Star players David Fifita and Phillip Sami will both be going under the knife, but are expected to be back in action for pre-season training.

Meanwhile, after sitting out the last game against the Knights, dynamic fullback Keano Kini is on track to make a comeback for the final match of the season.

Despite dealing with a corked calf, Kini is determined to take the field against the Panthers on Saturday.

On the bright side, the Titans NRLW team is gearing up to welcome back Sienna Lofipo from injury for their upcoming clash against Parramatta.

The young playmaker adds depth to Karyn Murphy's squad and appears to have recovered from an arm injury that kept her out of the last game against the Sharks.

It's a tough break for the Titans, but as they say in Rugby League, injuries are just part of the game.

The team will have to dig deep and rally together in the face of adversity.
