Tino Weighs Titan Future Amid Free Agency

Gold Coast Titans captain Tino Fa'asuamaleaui is currently a hot commodity in the transfer market, even though he signed a substantial decade-long contract with the club a few seasons back.

While it was anticipated that Fa'asuamaleaui might activate his exit clause, the Daily Telegraph reports that he has decided not to pursue the first of two exit options in his 10-year, $12 million agreement. Instead, he wants to give new coach Josh Hannay the chance to prove his capability to lead the team toward winning outcomes.

Although Fa'asuamaleaui was eligible to explore other options starting November 1, a constructive meeting with Hannay has changed his perspective. The captain was encouraged by the coach's vision to transform the Titans into serious contenders.

"It's a smart decision by Tino to allow that time for Josh to see how the club evolves and keep that connection going," said new Titans football boss Scott Sattler to the Daily Telegraph. "Tino knows where we want to take the club."

This decision is viewed as a strong indication that Fa'asuamaleaui intends to stay on the Gold Coast, provided that Hannay can fulfill his promises for the future of the team.

Sattler, who recently assumed his position, acknowledged that keeping the representative prop is one of the club's highest priorities.
