The Gold Coast Titans are currently experiencing turmoil, highlighted by the dismissal of head coach Des Hasler and the anticipated release of star player David Fifita. The team's captain, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui, has expressed his frustration over the state of the club.

In a recent press conference, Fa'asuamaleaui emphasized that the absence of accountability has contributed to the Titans' struggles, noting that simply sacking the coach does not resolve the fundamental issues plaguing the organization. He stated, "Someone's got to be held accountable, but talking about accountability, both times the coaches are the only one that's been kept accountable, and there's got to be more than that." This remark refers to the recent firings of both Hasler and former coach Justin Holbrook.

He urged that a comprehensive examination of the entire club is necessary for future improvement, asserting, "We've got to look at everything for us going forward." Fa'asuamaleaui admitted that the problems extend beyond coaching, acknowledging issues within the player group and the club's administration that have remained unaddressed.

"Everyone needs to be looked at and made sure that they're held to account and really asked the right questions of why they're here," Fa'asuamaleaui concluded, underscoring the need for introspection at all levels within the organization.
