Tigers' Victory Overshadowed by Late Concerns

Why Tigers’ dominant Knights win was ‘unacceptable’... as Benji calls for hype train to roll on

Marshall Critiques Tigers' Performance Despite Dominant Victory

While the Tigers achieved a commanding win over the Knights, coach Benji Marshall was only satisfied with 75% of his team's performance, deeming their final 20 minutes "unacceptable."

Ending Round 6 in second place, trailing only the Panthers, the merger club scored eight tries in front of their dedicated supporters at Campbelltown Sports Stadium.

Though the Tigers gained two vital competition points, Marshall expressed concern over his team's allowance of three tries by the Knights in the second half after the 58-minute mark.

"I'm really happy with the boys for getting the result. Obviously the two points is what you come for and to give the fans (who) go to work on a Monday, something to celebrate is really important to us," he said.

"So I'm happy in that respect. But unhappy at the same time."

When pressed to clarify his dissatisfaction, Marshall initially responded with a "no" but eventually chose to elaborate on his thoughts.

His mixed feelings underscore the importance he places on both results and performance as the Tigers look to maintain momentum going forward.
