In Round 2 of the Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership, Wests Tigers narrowly lost to the Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs, 12-10, at Lidcombe Oval.

The Tigers quickly took the lead when halfback Tallara Bamblett executed a pinpoint cutout pass to Claudia Nielsen in the 6th minute, allowing her to score.

Bamblett successfully converted the try, giving the Tigers a 6-0 advantage.

Midway through the first half, the lead was extended in an unconventional way: Bamblett's high kick bounced awkwardly and was kept in play by winger Taylor Mapusua, who flipped it back, setting up Aaliyah Bula to score.

The conversion attempt was missed, leaving the Tigers ahead 10-0 at halftime.

However, the Bulldogs rallied in the second half, with Sarahcen Oliver scoring in the 47th minute after receiving a cutout pass from Anneka Wilson.

The Bulldogs continued to gain momentum, as fullback Ambryn Murphy-Haua scored a solo try shortly after.

By the 56th minute, a left-edge shift allowed Summer van Gelder to cross in the corner, giving Canterbury a 12-10 lead.

Despite the Tigers' efforts in the closing stages, they were unable to secure a late-game victory.
