In an exhilarating match at Leichhardt Oval, the Wests Tigers secured a 20-18 golden point victory against the Sharks.

The scoring began with Lachlan Galvin, who set up Samuela Fainu to score his first try of the season.

Sunia Turuva then added to the home team's tally in the 27th minute, with Starford To'a's impressive fend assisting him for his eighth try with the Tigers.

Just before halftime, Ronaldo Mulitalo scored under the posts, narrowing the gap to a 10-6 Wests Tigers lead.

The second half commenced with Briton Nikora being sin-binned for a high tackle, allowing Adam Doueihi to convert a penalty goal, extending the lead to 12-6.

Tallyn Da Silva demonstrated remarkable skill by kicking the ball forward off a bomb and scooting away to increase the Tigers' advantage.

However, Will Kennedy responded for the Sharks, scoring a try and bringing them back into contention.
